About Us
Operational Team
Catherine M.
Operations Manager
As Operations Manager, Catherine oversees all daily operations at ADHD Aware to ensure our services run smoothly, safely, and effectively. Her role connects our strategic vision with hands-on community support. She manages all staff and volunteers, our core peer support services, training programmes, and couples courses to marketing, promotions, and designing educational webinars.
She actively build partnerships with the NHS, network with key stakeholders, and head fundraising initiatives. Working hand-in-hand with our board of trustees. She also oversees service monitoring, safeguarding, and funder evaluations to protect, sustain, and continuously elevate the vital support we provide to the ADHD community. Her background in community development ensures our day to day work is underpinned by the needs of our ADHD community and directly reflects the organisations broader strategic direction.
Karen H.
Couple Course Psychotherapist
Karen is a relationship therapist, cultural commentator on modern love and specialist in relationship dynamics and neurodivergence. Her work sits at the intersection of relational psychology, modern culture, and recognising the dynamics and patterns that shape how we love today.
She uses a unique blend of psychodynamic therapy, behavioural and coaching techniques overlaid with a neurodivergent lens.
When an individual feels as if there is another person on their team then life work, managing families, illness and life challenges can feel slightly less daunting. The quality of our relationships enhances the quality of our lived experience. Her work is to help restore harmony, joy and stability to those who have lost touch with this in their relationship.
Yvonne R.
Session Facilitator
Yvonne is an experienced facilitator, trainer and supervisor who has worked with diverse groups and communities over 40 years. She ensures spaces are held so that all the voices are welcomed into meetings. This includes being mindful of the dynamics of the group and what will help to bring out the best of each participant and the group as a whole.
For 15 years she has worked with ADHD Aware facilitating a mixture of different groups and trainings. Currently facilitating the monthly group discussion and she works with Karen Doherty and Dave Clarke co-facilitating the couples training workshops.
In her work with individuals and groups her endeavour is to support people to share their stories, develop insights, and build on skills and strategies that will help in navigating and managing living with neurodiversity
Dave C.
Session Facilitator
Dave has a broad background in working with people in residential care and family centres, education, and behavioural interventions.
His later work has included facilitating group work with men who have used abusive behaviour and several years supporting victims of crime. He now delivers healthy-relationship and behaviour-change interventions. His practice draws on skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), particularly emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness.
Dave has been involved in ADHD Aware since 2018 hosting various peer support groups and heard from many people how it’s helped improved lives and saved marriages and partnerships.
He is particularly interested in helping couples develop greater emotional awareness, communicate their needs more effectively and find ways of working with neurodivergence together rather than against one another.
At the heart of his approach is moving beyond blame to being curious about the patterns operating beneath relationship difficulties. This includes what triggers us, how to step back from escalation, how we respond when we feel threatened, rejected or misunderstood, and how those responses affect the person we love. He is interested in helping couples recognise these patterns, resolve conflict and become ‘unstuck’ when a relationship has fallen into a rut. Creating a space to talk, listen and learn for greater connection, understanding, making allowances & fulfilment.

Naomi L.
Administrator
Naomi was a volunteer coordinator for Together Co for 17 years. She started as a recipient of support from ADHD Aware when she was first diagnosed 8 years ago. She then started to volunteer and was then offered a job which she loves!
The role has given her the opportunity to use skills she knew she had but didn't previously need to use so it's been a nice change plus the job gives her a balance of admin but also still meeting people albeit mostly on Zoom. If you ever email into admin, she is the one who will respond!
