ADHD Aware is running a course that helps couples manage some of the impact that ADHD may have on couple relationships.
These training workshops will be over 7 weeks on Zoom from 7 to 9pm on the following dates – 27th February, 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th March, 10th and 17th April. (please not there will be a break on 3rd April)
You will need to be able to attend all 7 sessions.
Over the 7 weeks we aim to cover the core challenges to the couple dynamics including
- Communication
- Emotional regulation
- Executive Functioning
- Self confidence
- Intimacy and Empathy
The aim of this training workshop is to support couples to better understand the dynamics and challenges in their relationships and to build on and develop their strategies to help address these.
We will divide up each session into sections of learning, peer to peer experience and strategies.
These training workshops will be a closed group for 8 couples over 7 sessions. They will be facilitated by Karen Doherty and Yvonne Rivers.

The brief interviews to discuss your application including your hopes for the training workshops group and what you hope to bring will take place on Tuesday 4th February from 10-11, 12 to 2pm or 6 to 8pm. These will be considered by Training Workshop Facilitators, Karen Doherty and Yvonne Rivers. We expect that there will be much interest in these training workshops so unfortunately, we will not be able to offer places to everyone who applies.
