Organisation Overview
ADHD Aware is a dynamic charity dedicated to supporting adults impacted by ADHD. We support people through our peer-led services and drive wider impact by delivering Neurodiversity Awareness Training in the workplace.
We aim to foster a greater understanding of neurodiversity and the unique strengths and challenges of neurodivergent lived experience. Our mission is to empower neurodiverse communities through comprehensive support services and to transform workplace cultures to become more inclusive and accessible through specialised training.
In 2023, we were successful in receiving a three-year National Lottery grant. This supports the growth of our awareness-raising neurodiversity in the workplace training programs, AWARE and THRIVE. The primary aims of this project are twofold:
- To raise awareness and educate employers across all sectors about neurodiversity: how to support neurodiverse employees and the benefits, unique skills and talents neurodiverse employees can bring to workplace settings.
- To develop an income stream for the charity to ensure its financial sustainability beyond the life of the grant.
The grant also covers the exploration and expansion of other models for our services, including increasing the range of open and closed courses that may be chargeable to individual participants.
We are now seeking an experienced Business Development Executive (BDE) to help us grow the area of these activities that will drive sustainable income, going forward.
